We are looking for a Public Health Intern to work part time (up to 28 hours per week) Monday through Friday. The Public Health Intern will be working in our Senior and Adult Services program, assisting with performing programmatic activities, conducting special projects, and providing needed support for program functions. This role will be responsible with supporting various services under the Senior & Adult Service program, including:

  • BRI Care Consultation: A coaching program designed to support individuals living with dementia and their caregivers.
  • The Gatekeeper Program: Identification, assessment, and case management support for older adults, individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's, and those with intellectual or developmental disabilities to help them live safely and independently at home.
  • Community Education & Training: Public initiatives focused on falls prevention, brain health, and building a Dementia Capable Community in partnership with Dementia Friends Ohio.
Primary Duties
  • Conduct research on relevant topics.
  • Assist with the planning, development, and implementation of local programs and community activities.
  • Provide support on special projects and administrative tasks as assigned by program staff.
  • Perform accurate data entry to maintain and update program records.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Pursuit of a bachelor's or graduate degree in Public Health or a related field, or be a recent graduate seeking practical experience in the field.
  • Valid Ohio driver's license, liability insurance, and automobile availability.
