• On-Site Specialties:
  Operating Room, Surgical Scrub, Surgical Technology, Orthopaedics, Plastics

• Performs surgical scrub; dons OR attire and PPE; assists with gowning, gloving, and draping
• Prepares and maintains sterile field; gathers, checks, and opens supplies and equipment
• Assists with patient positioning, skin preparation, and intraoperative tasks such as suctioning, sponging, passing instruments, and cutting sutures
• Measures and passes medications, hemostatic agents, and irrigation solutions (does not administer medications).
• Handles specimens according to policy; prepares bone/tissue products (excluding ACL graft).
• Operates sterilizers and surgical equipment; ensures proper functioning and safe use.
• Participates in time-out procedures and post-operative care, including dressing application and patient transfer.
• May assist as second technologist during complex procedures (e.g., holding retractors, applying electrocautery, connecting drains, applying dressings).

• Education:
  
  Completion of an approved accredited surgical technology program or military training.
• Experience:
  
  3 to 5 years of demonstrated experience in field or profession preferred
  
  Certification:
  Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist is preferred.
