Home Health Aide, Healthcare Nursing
Role:
Provide personal healthcare and related services to patients in their homes, assisting with safe transfers, ambulation, nutrition, and hygiene under the supervision of a registered nurse.
Responsibilities:Document patient observations, report changes, maintain a clean and safe environment, promote respectful communication, and perform treatments as per agency policies. Ensure infection control and support patient comfort and dignity.
Qualifications & Skills:High school diploma preferred, valid driver's license, and at least one year of experience as a Home Health Aide or Nursing Assistant preferred. Must have completed a state-approved training and competency evaluation program. Proven ability to read, write, and verbally communicate clinical information, current CPR certification, and reliable transportation are required.
Physical &Environmental Conditions:
Work involves prolonged standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and traveling to patients' homes in various conditions, sometimes exposing staff to infectious materials and weather challenges. Flexibility and manual dexterity are essential.
Key Duties:Deliver direct patient care, assist with mobility, provide proper nutrition, document care, promote infection control, and support patient and family needs. Attend ongoing training and adhere to organizational policies to ensure quality care.
