Interventional Specialist
- Catheterization Lab
Summary:
The Interventional Specialist Catheterization Lab assists cardiologists with diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, electrophysiology [EP] studies, and radio frequency [RF] ablations on newborns, children and adults with congenital heart disease.
Responsibilities:
1. Assists the interventional cardiologists by scrubbing into procedures to function as a sterile scrub assistant and manage x-ray equipment.
2. Scrubs, circulates and monitors diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures and EP ablation procedures.
3. Responsible for monitoring invasive cardiac waveforms and pressure gradients during procedures including communication of patient’s vital signs and EKG data.
4. Responsible for ordering and maintaining par levels, as well as general equipment troubleshooting
5. Other duties as required.
:
Technical Expertise
1.
Experience with pediatric/adult congenital is preferred.
2.
Experience with sterile technique is preferred
3. Experience working with all levels within an organization is required.
4. Experience in healthcare is required.
5. Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required.
Education and Experience
1.
Education:
Graduate of a radiologic technology program required.
2. A.R.R.T. Radiography registry with current ODH licensure required. BLS is required. ACLS and PALS certified or be able to obtain certification within one year is required.
3. Years of relevant experience: 3 years is preferred.
