Full-Time / 40 hours / Days (M-F - 6:30a-3:00p or 8a-4:30p)

Summary

Masters responsibilities of primary team and receives cross-training to efficiently work on two or more teams (e.g., New Patient, Front Desk, Clinical/Surgical, Clinical/Non‑surgical; Pre‑Op). Serves as point person for PALI’s questions and assists with de‑escalation of patient situations; mentors and assists with training of PALI’s as needed. Acts as initial contact for new Weight Management Institute (WMI) patients; schedules appointments, procedures, and consults for established patients of the WMI.

Collects payments and processes receipts; prepares charts and patients for physician visits, and assists physicians with visits; reviews charts and assists patients in completing all pre‑op requirements; assists in collection of data for clinical outcomes. Provides a high level of customer service to present a positive impression of Summa Health.

Formal Education Required

-Associate degree in healthcare, accounting, business, public relations or related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Experience and Training Required
  • Two (2) years experience performing two or more of the following duties: scheduling, phone triage, patient check‑in, patient registration, insurance verification, pre‑certification, or medical assisting in a medical office, hospital, or healthcare setting.
  • Cross trained or ability to work efficiently in 2 or more areas (e.g., New Patient, Front Desk, Clinical/Surgical, Clinical/Non‑surgical; Pre‑Op).
  • Ability to pass typing test administered by Human Resources of 25 WPM
  • Ability to pass medical terminology exam administered by Human Resources

Compensation

$18.31/hr - $21.97/hr

The salary range on this job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials. Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location are considered when determining the starting rate of pay. We believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members when determining offers. Please keep in mind that the range that is listed is the full base salary range.

Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical.
