Summary

The Practice Manager, Women's Health / OB-GYN and Imaging is responsible for the daily operations of an integrated ambulatory women's health practice that includes on-site imaging services. This role ensures efficient clinic workflows, excellent patient experience, and effective coordination of administrative and clinical support functions across both service areas. The Practice Manager partners with clinical and Imaging leadership to support quality care delivery, staff engagement, and operational performance.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations of the Women's Health / OB-GYN and imaging practice, including scheduling, registration, patient flow, and clinic workflows.
  • Maintain staffing models, schedules, and coverage plans that support patient demand and operational needs.
  • Maintains all ODH licensure and/or ACR accreditation and partners with Imaging leadership regarding accreditation, regulatory compliance, equipment, technical standards, staff competencies, and imaging quality.
  • Monitor operational performance, including patient volume, access, wait times, workflow efficiency, and patient experience, and implement improvements as needed.
  • Manage financial operations, including budget adherence, expense management, supply and equipment planning, and coordination with revenue cycle processes.
  • Coordinate workflows between OB-GYN and imaging services, including mammography, bone density, and ultrasound, to support a seamless patient experience.
  • Supervise administrative and clinical support staff, including imaging support and front-desk staff, with responsibility for hiring, coaching, performance management, and staff development.
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of imaging workflows, patient preparation, scheduling requirements, and operational dependencies.
  • Collaborate with providers, nursing leaders, Imaging leadership, and other stakeholders to address operational needs and support safe, efficient care delivery.
  • Promote compliance, employee engagement, teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment.

  • Other information Technical Expertise
  • Registered Nurse experience is preferred but not required.
  • Experience supporting or managing ambulatory clinical operations is required; experience in women's health, OB-GYN, or diagnostic imaging is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of imaging workflows, including mammography, bone density, and ultrasound services, is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and coordinate operations across multiple clinical disciplines and reporting relationships.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint, or similar software, is required.
  • Education and Experience
  • Education:

    Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field required. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, a minimum of eight years of experience in healthcare leadership is required.
  • Licensure: RN may be required for management of certain practices for ODH requirements.
  • Certification:
    Certification in Healthcare Management required within two years of assuming the role. ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) or ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers) certification preferred.
  • Years of relevant experience:
    Minimum of five years of experience in healthcare, administrative, or practice operations required.
  • Years of supervisory experience:
    Minimum of three years of leadership experience in ambulatory care, women's health, imaging, or a related clinical service line required.
