Summa Health's Behavioral Health Institute is seeking a licensed or license-eligible Clinical Psychologist (PhD or PsyD) to join our multidisciplinary team at Summa Rehab Hospital, a premier inpatient rehabilitation facility serving patients recovering from stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, amputation, and other complex neurological and medical conditions.
This position offers a unique opportunity to provide integrated psychological care within a rehabilitation setting, helping patients overcome the cognitive, emotional, behavioral, and psychological challenges that can impact recovery, adjustment, and overall quality of life.

- Conduct comprehensive psychological and neurobehavioral evaluations of inpatient rehabilitation patients.
- Assess mood, coping, adjustment, cognitive functioning, and behavioral concerns related to illness, injury, and recovery.
- Provide individual, family, supportive, and brief therapeutic interventions.
- Evaluate decision-making capacity, emotional functioning, and barriers to treatment participation.
- Develop behavioral and psychological recommendations that support rehabilitation goals and patient engagement.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment teams to optimize recovery outcomes.
- Provide consultation, education, and support to patients, families, and rehabilitation staff.
- Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation.
Participate in program development, quality improvement initiatives, and interdisciplinary team meetings.

- PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology or Counseling Psychology
- Completion of an APA‑accredited internship
- Ohio psychologist license or eligibility for Ohio licensure
- Experience providing psychological assessment and intervention for individuals with neurological, medical, rehabilitation, or behavioral health conditions
- Strong interest in interdisciplinary rehabilitation and integrated behavioral healthcare
- Experience in hospital-based, rehabilitation, integrated care, health psychology, or behavioral medicine settings
- Experience working with patients recovering from neurological injury, stroke, or other complex medical conditions
