American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for a CVOR position requiring open heart and vascular surgery experience.

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as a Surgical Technologist, with CVOR experience preferred
18 months of combined permanent experience in the specialty required
Current AHA BLS certification
License required if applicable
Active certifications required at time of consideration; pending certifications not accepted
One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty is required; co-worker references are not accepted
COVID-19 vaccine required, with medical or religious exemptions only
Flu vaccine required, with medical or religious exemptions only

Responsibilities

Hospital CVOR unit
Scrub open heart and vascular cases, including wired vascular procedures
Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
On-call requirement of 1-2 weekday call shifts per week from end of shift until 0700 the next morning
Weekend call requirement of 1 per 6 weeks, covering 24 hours Saturday and 24 hours Sunday
One working shift on Saturday or Sunday per 6 weeks, typically coordinated with weekend call
May be rotated onto the holiday call schedule as needed
Scrub for cardiovascular surgical cases including open heart and wired vascular procedures
Travelers are expected to work every other holiday
Locals accepted at the same bill rate
Permanent and per diem candidates cannot return to Cleveland Clinic hospitals for 1 year from their previous end date
Extensions with the client are possible for up to 18 months, after which a 6 month break is typically required
RTO must be discussed during the interview process
Background check hits of any kind are reviewed by the facility, but open cases will not be accepted
Facility does not accept any hits on professional license
