The Medical Assistant II role provides proficient clinical and administrative support under the supervision of a Provider or licensed Nurse.
Responsibilities include preparing patients for exams, recording vital signs, performing phlebotomy, administering medications, and collecting data for patient assessments.
Additional duties encompass processing laboratory specimens, communicating findings to healthcare providers, documenting care accurately in electronic health records, scheduling appointments, and managing patient flow.
Clinical tasks such as point-of-care testing and screenings, along with routine office duties like filing and room preparation, are also performed.
Maintaining positive patient and team relationships, triaging issues, participating in process improvements, and adhering to safety policies are essential.
QualificationsQualifications include high school diploma, completion of a certified Medical Assistant, EMT, or Paramedic program, and BLS certification.
Preferred experience in phlebotomy, healthcare, and familiarity with electronic medical records and Microsoft Office.
The role is full-time, onsite, offering a variable day schedule, with a focus on delivering quality patient care and supporting department operations.
