PRN RN Specialist - Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation

About This Role

As a PRN RN Specialist in Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation, you will plan, coordinate, and implement therapy for cardiac and pulmonary patients, focusing on preventing readmissions and managing complex conditions.

• Pay: $39.00 - $43.00/hour
• Location: Akron, OH
• Schedule: PRN, Days from 6:45 AM—6:45 PM

• Evaluate patient's clinical status and provide recommended rehab services as per protocol.
• Utilize assessment skills in providing patient care in all phases of cardiac rehabilitation.
• Educate patients/families about cardiopulmonary diseases and treatments.
• Participate in case management and discharge planning conferences with interdisciplinary staff.
• Document patient progress and collaborate with healthcare team members to meet patient needs.
• Develop rehabilitative goals to prevent progression of heart and lung disease.
• Assist in coordinating patient care and developing new programs and educational materials.
• Attend continuing education programs to facilitate professional growth.

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related health field OR a Master’s Degree

• Two years of nursing experience in coronary care, critical care, and/or med/surg

• Current state licensure in Ohio as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification preferred
