Medical Assistant

This Medical Assistant role provides clinical and administrative support under the supervision of a Provider and/or licensed Nurse.
Responsibilities include preparing patients for exams, recording vital signs, performing phlebotomy, administering medications, collecting and processing lab specimens, and communicating patient information to healthcare providers.
The role also involves accurate documentation within the EPIC system, scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and performing department-specific clinical tasks such as point-of-care testing and screenings.
Additional duties include office tasks like faxing and filing, maintaining examination rooms, and fostering positive relationships with patients and colleagues.
Qualifications require a high school diploma, completion of a recognized Medical Assistant or related program, and BLS certification.
Preferred experience includes phlebotomy, medical terminology, and healthcare environment familiarity.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical records is necessary.
