We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Med Tech to join our team at Portage Lakes Nursing & Rehab in Akron, OH. As a Med Tech, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional resident care and ensuring the high-quality continuum of care at our state-of-the-art facility.

As a Med Tech, you will be responsible for providing direct care services, including vital sign monitoring, specimen collection, and medication administration. You will work closely with our dedicated interdisciplinary care team to ensure that our residents receive the highest level of care and attention.

• Conduct routine vital sign monitoring and report any changes or concerns to the nursing team
• Assist with specimen collection, processing, and transportation
• Administer medications accurately as ordered by physicians and in accordance with facility policies
• Collaborate with nursing staff to provide personalized care and support to residents
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of care activities and medication administration
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance resident care, safety, and satisfaction

• 1 year of experience as a Medication Technician or directly related clinical setting
• Active Med Tech Certification required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and staff
