Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Housekeeping Director to join our team at Portage Lakes Nursing & Rehab. As a leader in skilled nursing and long-term care, we are committed to providing exceptional environment quality and service to our residents and staff. The Housekeeping Director will oversee the housekeeping and laundry operations, ensuring that our facility maintains a spotless, hygienic, and welcoming environment while delivering excellent customer service.

• Leadership: Supervise, train, and manage housekeeping and laundry personnel, creating balanced schedules and ensuring staff are equipped to perform their duties efficiently.
• Department Operations: Direct daily cleaning routines, manage linen inventory, control supplies, and ensure proper maintenance of department equipment.
• Quality Control: Conduct routine inspections across all resident rooms, common areas, and administrative offices to ensure adherence to cleanliness and safety standards.
• Customer Service: Interact warmly with residents, families, and team members to address facility environment requests promptly and courteously.
• Compliance & Infection Control: Ensure strict compliance with local, state, and federal healthcare regulations, including OSHA guidelines, infection control standards, and safety protocols.

• Minimum 2 to 3 years of supervisory or managerial experience in housekeeping, preferably within a healthcare or long-term care facility.
• Strong knowledge of commercial cleaning standards, equipment, and sanitation regulations.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
