As a DSP Substitute, you'll step in where you're needed most to ensure the individuals we serve receive exceptional support and care.

• Assist individuals with personal care, meal preparation, housekeeping, and daily living activities.
• Encourage self-advocacy, personal growth, and community participation.
• Promote choice, dignity, and independence in everyday activities.

• Administer medications and treatments following agency and Ohio DODD guidelines.
• Monitor health and safety needs.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and adaptive equipment when needed.

• Accompany individuals to recreational activities, appointments, shopping trips, and community events.
• Create meaningful opportunities for social engagement and inclusion.
• Help individuals build connections and enjoy experiences that matter to them.

• Drive agency vehicles and transport individuals safely to appointments, programs, and activities.
• Maintain safe driving practices and vehicle cleanliness.

• Complete accurate documentation and records.
• Communicate important information with team members, supervisors, medical professionals, and support teams.
• Protect confidential information and maintain HIPAA compliance.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass criminal background and motor vehicle record checks.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and internet applications.
• Ability to complete required training and certifications.

• Ability to lift, transfer, and support individuals as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to push wheelchairs, operate Hoyer lifts, bend, twist, and perform physical caregiving tasks.
• Ability to work in homes, community settings, and various weather conditions.

This is a part-time substitute position designed to fill staffing needs across multiple residential locations throughout the Summit County service area. Most employees work fewer than 30 hours per week, though additional hours may be available depending on operational needs. Shifts and assignments may vary based on the needs of the individuals served.
