• Plans, organizes, and carries out highly skilled engineering repairs, preventive maintenance and incoming inspections.
• Uses comprehensive knowledge of practices, procedures, and types of equipment.
• Performs a variety of professional level responsibilities
• Other duties as required.

• Experience in the biomedical field is required.
• Experience with all patient care equipment within the pediatric facility is required.
• Experience handling emergency situations is required.
• Experience working with all levels within an organization is required.
• Experience in healthcare is preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required.

• Education:
  
  Associate's degree in electronic technology or related field is required;
  Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Certification:
  None.
• Years of relevant experience: 5 to 7 years is preferred.
• Years of experience supervising:
  None.
• Possesses a valid State driver's license and ability to obtain and maintain insurability as determined by the ACH insurance carrier's requirements.
• An annual physical is required to be completed with the Akron Children's Hospital Employee Health Department.
