The Event Manager – Private Events oversees the sales, planning, and execution of private rental events at Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens, including weddings, corporate events, and special celebrations. Reporting to the Events Director, this role manages the full client experience—from initial inquiry through event completion—while ensuring exceptional hospitality, operational excellence, and stewardship of the historic estate.
The Event Manager is responsible for driving event revenue, managing budgets and contracts, coordinating vendors and event logistics, and serving as the on-site lead during events. The role collaborates across departments to support marketing, fundraising, and visitor operations while ensuring compliance with estate policies and preservation standards.

Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Five (5) years of experience in event management, hospitality, or event sales.
- Strong client service, sales, budgeting, contract management, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience managing high-end events and building client relationships.
