Position OverviewSilver Line is seeking an experienced Contract HR Consultant to support a growing portfolio of client engagements. This fully remote, part-time opportunity is ideal for a seasoned HR professional who enjoys variety, autonomy, and meaningful client partnership.
This is a flexible engagement averaging approximately 10 hours per week, with the potential to expand or contract depending on project demand.
Assignments range from strategic advising to hands‑on execution. Some clients need a thought partner to guide leaders. Others need someone who can roll up their sleeves and build the infrastructure. Many need both.
Project ResponsibilitiesScope will vary by client, but may include:
- Partner with business owners, executives, and managers to assess HR needs and recommend practical, compliant solutions
- Provide day‑to‑day HR guidance on employee relations, performance management, and workplace concerns
- Draft, refine, or implement policies, handbooks, and people processes
- Support compliance across federal, state, and local requirements
- Coach leaders on communication, feedback, and team effectiveness
- Help clients build scalable practices in hiring, onboarding, compensation, and organizational design
- Step in as fractional HR capacity when an organization lacks internal resources
- Maintain consistent, professional communication with clients and the Silver Line team
- Deliver a thoughtful, high‑touch experience that reflects Silver Line’s reputation
- 7+ years of progressive HR experience
- Strong working knowledge of employment practices, compliance, and real-world application
- Proven ability to operate independently and manage multiple priorities
- Confidence advising leaders and influencing decision‑making
- Excellent judgment, discretion, and professionalism
- Comfortable moving between strategy and execution
- Experience supporting small businesses, startups, or nonprofits is strongly preferred
- Ability to thrive in a remote, flexible, fast‑moving consulting environment
