Position Overview

Silver Line is seeking an experienced Contract HR Consultant to support a growing portfolio of client engagements. This fully remote, part-time opportunity is ideal for a seasoned HR professional who enjoys variety, autonomy, and meaningful client partnership.

This is a flexible engagement averaging approximately 10 hours per week, with the potential to expand or contract depending on project demand.

Assignments range from strategic advising to hands‑on execution. Some clients need a thought partner to guide leaders. Others need someone who can roll up their sleeves and build the infrastructure. Many need both.

Project Responsibilities

Scope will vary by client, but may include:

  • Partner with business owners, executives, and managers to assess HR needs and recommend practical, compliant solutions
  • Provide day‑to‑day HR guidance on employee relations, performance management, and workplace concerns
  • Draft, refine, or implement policies, handbooks, and people processes
  • Support compliance across federal, state, and local requirements
  • Coach leaders on communication, feedback, and team effectiveness
  • Help clients build scalable practices in hiring, onboarding, compensation, and organizational design
  • Step in as fractional HR capacity when an organization lacks internal resources
  • Maintain consistent, professional communication with clients and the Silver Line team
  • Deliver a thoughtful, high‑touch experience that reflects Silver Line’s reputation
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of progressive HR experience
  • Strong working knowledge of employment practices, compliance, and real-world application
  • Proven ability to operate independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Confidence advising leaders and influencing decision‑making
  • Excellent judgment, discretion, and professionalism
  • Comfortable moving between strategy and execution
  • Experience supporting small businesses, startups, or nonprofits is strongly preferred
  • Ability to thrive in a remote, flexible, fast‑moving consulting environment
