Business Analyst

Job Description Day to Day:

Insight Global is seeking a Business Analyst to work remote or hybrid in Dallas, TX/NYC/Akron, OH. This person will serve as the critical bridge between business users and technical teams during complex system migrations, translating retail operational needs into functional requirements for legacy system transitions.

This role requires leading requirements gathering sessions, documenting requirements, writing test plans and scripts, leading UAT, and executing test cases, ensuring that critical functions perform correctly. This person will also guide business users through systems transitions and create detailed process documentation, as well as provide ongoing support as teams adapt to new technology platforms.

This position requires strong analytical skills to perform gap analysis between legacy systems and target platforms while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders. The role operates in a fast-paced retail environment where system accuracy directly impacts store operations, inventory management, and customer experience, requiring meticulous attention to detail in requirements validation and testing coordination to ensure seamless business continuity during critical system transitions.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business/Analytics/Information Systems/Computer Science, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a Business Analyst role in retail industry/environment.
• Experience with SDLC
• Experience leading requirements gathering sessions, documenting requirements, writing test plans and scripts, leading UAT, executing test case, and facilitating user training sessions.
• Experience with tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with business stakeholders.

• Experience supporting retail, merchandising, sourcing, or supply chain teams and/or systems in a multi‑brand environment.
