Project Manager; ShiftWizard​/Dormakaba

Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing and closing projects according to project timelines. This role requires excellent leadership, organization and communication skills to oversee the full project lifecycle and ensure project goals are achieved efficiently and effectively.

• Independently lead, motivate, and manage project teams ensuring clear roles and responsibilities for medium to highly complex projects.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, goals and deliverables.
• Ensure efficient use of resources while maintaining project quality standards.
• Coordinate tasks, monitor team progress, and resolve conflicts or challenges that arise.
• Determine resource requirements (including staffing, software, hardware, and facilities) of projects, based on project specifications.
• Plan and scope all project phases and components ensuring projects are on schedule and within scope.
• Work with project teams to define testing plans and help organize testing phases and cycles if testing is required.
• Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Apply critical thinking to anticipate project challenges and implement solutions to minimize disruptions.
• Track project performance against the project plan and provide regular status reports to stakeholders, outlining progress, risks and any deviations from the plan.
• Create detailed project documentation such as project plans, charters, SOWs, risk/issue logs, and meeting minutes.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate any issues, challenges or delays in a timely manner.
• Develop and maintain an excellent working knowledge of Akron Children's Hospital IS and IS interoperability issues and opportunities.
• Perform other duties as required.

• Experience in project management methodology and project management software tools.
• Experience managing large and/or multiple projects.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Strong critical thinking skills and attention to detail.
• Experience working with all levels within an organization.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to concisely present complex information to internal and external audiences.
• Experience in healthcare is preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word).
• Shift Wizard / Dormakaba experience.

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required;
  Master’s degree is preferred.
• PMP certification is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
