Our client is currently seeking a qualified Level 2 Desktop Technician to join their team onsite in Akron, OH and provide support. The hours for this position are 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM. The ideal candidate is expected to be helpful, relatable, and pleasant while diagnosing and fixing problems for end users. Occasional travelling may be required to local satellite offices for support.
Duties and Responsibilities- Provide onsite support to internal or external customers in resolving complex or escalated technology issues.
- Ensure the proper day‑to‑day operation of applications and equipment and troubleshoot on‑site software and hardware issues on laptops, tablets, workstations, and peripherals.
- May resolve higher level support to servers, and/or network equipment or perform updates, repairs, upgrades, backups, and other maintenance tasks.
- Receive user calls and offer remote or on‑site support.
- Troubleshoot system, office, hardware and business applications.
- Testing computers for functionality and re‑imaging.
- Configure devices for new users following client provided instructions.
- Assist with logistics and mini projects as requested.
- Good communication and customer support skills.
- Good analytical / troubleshooting skills.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows 11, and O365 support.
- Experience with installation of Microsoft Windows 11 operating system using System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) or Autopilot.
The rate for this position is between $18.00 and $24.00 per hour, unless local minimum wage is higher. Factors that may affect starting pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
