Sr Operational Intelligence Analyst

Employment Type: Full-Time / 40 Hours / Days

Responsibilities

Conducts analyses of processes, researches business requirements, and formulates alternatives for the development of intelligence/reporting solutions to satisfy the operational information needs of the corporation.

Facilitates meetings with functional areas to determine relevant business needs, translates requirements into functional specifications, and validates results of developed solutions, ensuring attainment of intelligence objectives.

Develops and maintains functional specifications and other documentation regarding intelligence/reporting based solutions.

Plans, designs, builds, and inspects intelligence/reporting packages and related components such as databases, stored procedures, reporting solutions, analysis projects, dashboards, alerts, algorithms, and data/file extracts with broad use, optimal performance, and multiple audiences in mind.

Evaluates intelligence/reporting solutions through testing and quality assurance to guarantee functionality, adequate performance, and usability for all staff; researches, investigates, and troubleshoots complex operational intelligence/reporting issues as appropriate.

Establishes automated scheduling for extraction of reports and stored procedures, ensuring deliverables are fulfilled.

Develops, maintains, manages, and deploys reporting solutions across multiple enterprise and local environments including MS Excel, MS SQL, SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, Aspect, Amisys, Access, Macess EXP, Crystal Reports, and related tools.

Maintains working knowledge of relevant enterprise and local information systems, databases, data schemas, software packages, and business operations to fulfill information needs accurately.

Assists with delegation of assignments, training of new staff and temporary agency employees, and mentoring of junior analysts.

Performs all job functions with integrity and provides timely internal and external customer service in a cooperative, respectful manner.

Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor Degree or may substitute with 4 years of like experience.

Required Experience
5+ years performing same or similar responsibilities. Relevant Experience includes analysis, programming, report development, database administration, or other reporting/analytical functions utilizing MS SQL Server and/or other comparable software packages.

Highly complex ability to design, develop, and implement programs, technical systems, and policies; proofreading to ensure accuracy and attention to detail.

Skills and Abilities:
Proficiency in MS SQL, SQL Server Management Studio, SSRS, SSIS, Visio (or similar), Project, and database management.
Process improvement techniques and methodologies knowledge applicable to normal operations.
Analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to conduct statistical analyses with large data sets.
Logical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Time management to complete tasks within designated time frames in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment and Scheduling

Occasional overtime during peak periods and occasional travel may be required. General office environment; minimal hazards.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary: $34.00/hr - $50.99/hr

The salary range is base pay and excludes bonuses or differentials. Factors such as years of relevant experience and geographical location influence starting pay. The range listed is the full base salary range; hiring at the maximum is not typical.
