Overview

The Application Development Consultant is an IT professional responsible for designing and developing complex process, program, and configuration solutions across multiple system-wide components.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze, design, and develop new processes, programs, and configurations, considering complex inter‑relationships.
  • Provide system-wide support and maintenance for complex systems or business processes.
  • Maintain and modify existing processes, programs, and configurations using current IT toolsets.
  • Troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve problems with unknown causes, applying logic and inference.
  • Collaborate with the stakeholder community to determine problems and make joint analysis decisions on cause and correction methods.
  • Ensure data integrity and system stability by performing necessary tasks.
  • Complete life‑cycle testing (unit and integration) of all work processes, including cross‑platform interaction.
  • Create applications and databases focusing on data collection systems that support analysis, data capture, design tools, library functions, reporting, request systems, and specification systems used in the tire development process.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Technology, Business Administration, or equivalent.
  • 10 years of IT experience, or 5+ years of relevant technical or business experience.
Preferred Qualities
  • Understanding of skills needed in related disciplines.
  • Familiarity with basic cost/benefit analysis methods.
  • Basic organizational, communication, and time‑management skills.
  • Active team‑member skills: effective listening and collaboration.
  • Ability to achieve IT objectives using approved standards and guidelines.
