- Visit active job sites to observe digging activities and ensure all safety procedures are followed
- Work directly with homeowners, contractors, and utility crews to promote safe digging practices
- Learn to identify and mark underground utility lines using company tools and technology
- Assist in verifying and updating utility line markings as needed
- Maintain accurate records of site visits, communications, and activities using company tools
- Perform routine checks to confirm marking accuracy and compliance with safety standards
- Maintain assigned tools, equipment, and vehicle through regular care and upkeep
- Respond to job site requests and support teammates during time‑sensitive situations
- Contribute to a safety‑first culture by following best practices and working collaboratively with your team
- Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by your supervisor while growing in the role
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in utility location/damage prevention is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and eagerness to learn
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently in the field, problem‑solve, and adapt to changing conditions on job sites
- Valid driver's license
- Familiarity with 811 dig laws and safe excavation practices is preferred, but training will be provided
