• Visit active job sites to observe digging activities and ensure all safety procedures are followed
• Work directly with homeowners, contractors, and utility crews to promote safe digging practices
• Learn to identify and mark underground utility lines using company tools and technology
• Assist in verifying and updating utility line markings as needed
• Maintain accurate records of site visits, communications, and activities using company tools
• Perform routine checks to confirm marking accuracy and compliance with safety standards
• Maintain assigned tools, equipment, and vehicle through regular care and upkeep
• Respond to job site requests and support teammates during time‑sensitive situations
• Contribute to a safety‑first culture by following best practices and working collaboratively with your team
• Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by your supervisor while growing in the role

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience in utility location/damage prevention is preferred
• Strong attention to detail and eagerness to learn
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently in the field, problem‑solve, and adapt to changing conditions on job sites
• Valid driver's license
• Familiarity with 811 dig laws and safe excavation practices is preferred, but training will be provided
