Position Overview

The District Manager (or District Manager in Training) directs and oversees all area store personnel to achieve region, division, and company net profit performance objectives. You will guide a team of Store Managers in delivering exceptional guest shopping experiences, operational excellence, and a positive work environment aligned with our client's values—making the company the preferred “one‑stop” destination for everyday needs.

This is a field‑based leadership role involving travel across assigned districts, with a focus on driving sales, controlling costs, developing teams, and ensuring compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, and develop Store Managers and teams across multiple locations to meet performance goals.
  • Oversee daily operations, including sales, inventory management, merchandising, food service, fuel operations, and cleanliness standards.
  • Drive profitability through budgeting, expense control, labor optimization, and revenue growth initiatives.
  • Conduct store visits, audits, and performance reviews; provide feedback and implement action plans for improvement.
  • Recruit, train, onboard, and retain high‑performing teams; handle staffing, scheduling, and employee relations.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety protocols, health regulations, and brand standards.
  • Analyze performance data (sales, margins, guest feedback) and recommend strategies to boost productivity and customer satisfaction.
  • Support new store openings, promotions, and operational changes.
  • Foster a culture of engagement, accountability, and guest‑focused service.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements

Applicants must be able to travel extensively within the district (driving required; valid driver’s license).

Qualifications
  • Proven multi‑unit retail/convenience store management experience (e.g., prior District Manager, Market Manager or equivalent).
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and people development skills.
  • Analytical mindset with experience managing budgets, P&L, and key metrics (sales, shrink, labor).
  • Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and multitasking abilities.
  • Passion for retail operations, guest service, and team success.
  • A bachelor’s degree in business or related field is preferred, but not required.
  • Multi‑Unit Leadership is a 24/7/365 role; must have flexibility for variable hours, including evenings, weekends, and on‑call availability, as per business needs of the assigned district.
