First Energy takes a market-based approach to pay, which may vary depending on your location. In addition, your actual base salary will depend on various factors such as your skills, qualifications, and experience.

The estimated pay range for this role is $108,000- $153,600. The pay range for certain locations, including the state of New Jersey, include a 20% differential to account for an increased cost of living, making the pay range $130,560- $184,320.

About the Opportunity

This is an open position with First Energy Service Co., a subsidiary of First Energy Corp. [FEU]

The Supervisor position is responsible for the administration and oversight of Project Development Project Managers within First Energy's Portfolio Management Department. This role primarily manages the Distribution Project Development Project Management Team but may also oversee Transmission Projects as assigned. The Project Development Team's core mission is to review and refine project scope, schedule, and budget to mitigate risk and ensure constructability within established time frames before releasing projects for construction.

Key Responsibilities

* Safety & Compliance:

* Ensure team commitment to safety and environmental compliance in all aspects of work.

* Leadership & Oversight:

* Supervise internal and external Project Development Project Managers, providing leadership and direction to deliver successful projects aligned with First Energy's goals.

* Direct and monitor daily activities to ensure accurate project plans within C&DS source systems.

* Team Development:

* Develop staff and contribute to departmental strategy and goals.

* Foster a positive work environment that supports individual growth and adheres to First Energy's Rules of Engagement and Code of Ethics.

* Monitor employee satisfaction, manage performance, and support career development.

* Policy Adherence:

* Ensure compliance with all applicable policies, including the Manual of Operations, FE Construction Standards, and Accident Prevention Handbook.

* Communication & Coordination:

* Communicate department and project goals to regional and corporate leadership.

* Conduct project status meetings and ensure challenge meetings, peer reviews, and variance analysis sessions occur.

* Portfolio Alignment:

* Work with Portfolio Management to align projects with the 5-Year Portfolio Investment Plan.

* Cross-Functional Collaboration:

* Partner with Supply Chain for timely material delivery.

* Collaborate with Construction Management to ensure constructability and develop accurate schedules.

* Coordinate with financial and controls teams to support risk reviews and accurate forecasting.

* Project Governance:

* Review and approve project change requests.

* Manage escalation of issues and risks.

* Identify and resolve concerns related to scope changes, financial variances, and delays, reporting updates to Transmission Leadership.

* Continuous Improvement:

* Seek opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction and strengthen client relationships.

* Storm Response:

* Participate in First Energy's storm process as needed.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, Construction Management or related field. Consideration will be given to applicants having extensive multi-disciplined technical and operational background in lieu of a college degree.

* Must have minimum of 5 years' experience in project organization with background in engineering, finance, project management, construction, or project controls.
