Civil Project Manager - Bridge Construction - Columbus, OH - JOB 26-00323

Salary Range:
$83,000 - $130,000
Full-Time Permanent Position with Benefits

A premier Columbus-based engineering firm to hire a Civil Project Manager specializing in Bridge Building. This is a leadership role responsible for the full lifecycle of bridge construction, ensuring safety, quality, and cost-efficiency.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Project Execution:
    Lead teams through the successful planning and execution of heavy civil bridge projects.
  • Safety & Quality:
    Conduct monthly project safety inspections and monitor quality control to exceed established goals.
  • Scheduling:
    Develop baseline schedules (P6/Primavera) and maintain updates throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Financial Management:
    Oversee job margin analysis, purchase orders, subcontracts, and project pre-planning.
  • Stakeholder Relations:
    Serve as the primary point of contact for owners; manage change orders and contractor invoicing.
  • Compliance:
    Manage Minority Participation Goals (DBE/EEO) and ensure adherence to labor and tax regulations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Education:

    Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Business.
  • Experience:

    Supervisory experience in Bridge Construction
  • Regional Knowledge:
    Previous experience with ODNR (Ohio Department of Natural Resources) projects is highly preferred.
  • Technical Proficiency:
    Advanced skill with Microsoft 365, Viewpoint Vista, HCSS, P6, and CAD.
  • Leadership:
    Proven ability to mentor Project Engineers and Superintendents while directing craft labor.
