Minimum Salary: $62,300 Salary consideration is based on education, background, and experience.

General

Purpose:

The primary purpose of this position is to lead special resident and agency programs including the management of the day-to-day operation of AMHA’s non-profit subsidiary, Building for Tomorrow. The incumbent is directly responsible for the implementation and expansion of AMHA’s special programs, specifically in education, health and digital connectivity, and the implementation of the agency and department’s data and evaluation of the programs.

In addition, the manager will partner with the agency’s Director of Communications and Philanthropy on grant research, writing, and make recommendations for funding opportunities for long-term sustainability.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the day-to-day management for Building for Tomorrow including grant-writing, non-profit compliance administrative duties, and communications. Assists in the orientation of new Building for Tomorrow Board members, create and manage volunteers, and committee members as necessary.
  • Oversees assigned programs, special projects, and cross-functional initiatives, ensuring effective implementation of both ongoing services and emerging opportunities.
  • Provide support on day-to-day operations and partnerships at the Reach Opportunity Center, especially as it relates to education.
  • Supervises data sharing projects, cross-system alignment to determine resident needs and coordinate with partners to determine impactful strategies, including developing programs and securing funding.
  • Oversees data and software projects, continuous quality improvement/assurance and strategic planning implementation and outcomes in order to determine resident needs and gaps to identify program and funding needs. Seeks and secures funding as needed.
  • Prepares and submits departmental required reports.
  • Monitors program budgets and finances, assisting with annual budget creation and maintenance for programs, the department, Tenant Participation Funds (TPF), and Building for Tomorrow.
  • Coordinates grant application(s) process by convening appropriate community partners and funders, facilitating the grant writing process, and leading the grant writing efforts in collaboration with AMHA and community partner(s).
  • Supervises staff including: hiring, assignment, training, evaluating, and disciplining of employees. Delegates authority and responsibility to staff as necessary to administer fundraising activities and designated department initiatives.
  • Sets clear expectations and goals, provides timely feedback and coaches staff on a regular basis.
  • Assists the Director of Resident Services in various community outreach efforts that relate to Resident Services and AMHA initiatives as appropriate.
  • Utilizes volunteer resources, management and communication skills, and the ability to collaborate and foster inclusiveness among a wide range of people of diverse backgrounds.
  • At the direction of the Director of Resident Services, develops and enriches community partnerships and relationships to enhance services to the clients of the AMHA.
