As Director, Distribution Operations, you will provide strategic leadership for pipeline operations across the region, overseeing emergency and incident response, pipeline maintenance programs, and the execution of key customer growth and asset replacement projects.

This role will be responsible for leading the Leak Survey/Vegetation Management, Gas Measurement and Regulation, and Corrosion departments as well as the Lima, New Philadelphia, Wooster, and Marietta Gas Operations teams in Ohio.
What You Will Do:- Lead regional gas distribution operations, ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of natural gas services.
- Provide strategic leadership for maintenance programs, emergency response activities, asset reliability initiatives, and operational performance improvement efforts.
- Optimize workforce planning, operational resources, and capital investments to drive efficiency, effectiveness, and strong business results.
- Build strong partnerships across internal teams, contractors, regulators, and community stakeholders to support successful operations.
- Lead incident response and recovery efforts, supporting investigations and implementing actions that strengthen operational integrity and prevent recurrence.
- Develop, coach, and inspire leaders and employees while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Manage significant operating and capital budgets while aligning operational priorities with organizational strategy and long-term business objectives.
- University degree in a related field and 15+ years of progressive leadership experience, or an equivalent combination of education and operational leadership experience.
- Extensive experience in natural gas distribution operations, utility construction, asset maintenance, emergency response, and customer-focused utility services.
- Proven success leading large, geographically dispersed teams, including experience within management and/or unionized environments.
- Strong financial and business acumen with experience managing operating and capital budgets.
- Demonstrated ability to lead through change, establish clear accountabilities, prioritize competing demands, and deliver results in a complex operating environment.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, particularly in time-sensitive or emergency situations.
- Strong leadership, communication, relationship-building, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proficiency with computer applications, operational systems, and data management tools.
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, Technology, or a related discipline.
- Experience developing and executing strategic plans that support operational excellence and business performance.

- Combination of office-based work and regular field presence to support operational activities.
- Travel required throughout the assigned operating region and occasionally to other company locations as business needs dictate.
- Must be available to support operational and emergency response activities when required.
