About the Role:

The PLC Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing automated production equipment in a fast-paced industrial environment. This position focuses on equipment reliability, preventive maintenance, and PLC-controlled systems to minimize downtime and maximize operational efficiency. Candidates with industrial maintenance, automation, controls, and troubleshooting experience are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventive maintenance on conveyors, motors, gearboxes, pumps, and automated production equipment.
  • Troubleshoot PLC-controlled machinery and identify faults impacting equipment performance.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electromechanical systems.
  • Read and interpret PLC logic, electrical schematics, technical manuals, and equipment documentation.
  • Support automation systems, sensors, drives, HMIs, and machine controls.
  • Replace worn or damaged components including bearings, belts, chains, seals, and motors.
  • Document maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance within CMMS systems.
  • Follow lockout tagout procedures and safety standards during maintenance activities.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in industrial maintenance, manufacturing maintenance, or equipment repair.
  • Strong PLC troubleshooting and automation support experience.
  • Knowledge of conveyors, motors, gearboxes, and rotating equipment.
  • Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and PLC documentation.
  • Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance and equipment reliability practices.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Technical degree or industrial maintenance certification.
  • Experience with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar PLC platforms.
  • Familiarity with HMIs, VFDs, sensors, and automated material handling equipment.
  • Experience using CMMS software.
  • Electrical troubleshooting experience in an industrial environment.
