Our intern program is designed to individuals who are currently enrolled full-time students at an accredited four-year college or university. Work is project oriented and will include design & implementation of engineered plans for the production process.

The goal is to provide a structured program that will equip interns with the skills and experience to help prepare for a successful career.

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS AND

EXPERIENCE:

• Currently enrolled at an accredited four-year college or university seeking a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
• Minimum of 3.0 GPA
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Must be able to work 20 – 29 hours per week
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills to be effective
• Microsoft Office experience required
• Must be a self-starter and like working in a team environment as well as ability to leverage scientific knowledge and theory to practical applications
• Strong planning and organizational skills
• Able to research and analyze information of considerable difficulty and draw valid conclusions
• Able to build relationships across all organizational lines
• Able to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Manufacturing environment that is hot and humid
• May need to work outside in various temperatures
• Fast paced manufacturing environment working both in office and plant settings.
• May perform activities in an environment containing hazardous elements and requiring safety awareness and adherence to all safety policies and guidelines
• Work must be performed in a safe manner for personal protection and for the protection of other team members
• All safety procedures, procedures described in SOPs, BPRs, and support the compliance of applicable ISO standards in all functional areas must be followed, enforced, and strictly complied with

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Sitting, standing, walking, repetitive use of hands/arms/legs, and eye/hand coordination for 6+ hours a day
• Occasional bending, reaching overhead, crouching, balancing, pushing, or pulling
• Occasional need to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Walking required, usually < 1-2 hours a day.
