Position Overview

Manufacturing Team Lead (Paint, Assembly & Wood Shop)

Location:
Akron, OH

Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 10-hour shifts (Fridays and overtime as needed)

RJS Corporation is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Team Lead to oversee daily operations in our Paint, Assembly, and Wood Shop departments
. This is a working leadership role where you'll lead by example, support production goals, maintain quality and safety standards, and help develop a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations across Paint, Assembly, and Wood Shop areas
• Assign work and coordinate production priorities
• Train and mentor employees on processes, quality standards, and safety procedures
• Monitor productivity, workflow, and quality performance
• Review work orders, drawings, and assembly instructions
• Ensure materials and work areas are production-ready
• Support continuous improvement initiatives
• Promote a safe, organized, and efficient work environment

Qualifications

• 5+ years of manufacturing experience in assembly, painting, woodworking, fabrication, or related operations
• Previous Team Lead, Crew Lead, or Supervisory experience preferred
• Ability to read drawings, work instructions, and production schedules
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• ERP/MRP system experience preferred
