Storm Search is conducting a DIRECT HIRE search for an Operations Manager in Akron, OH.
What’s in it for you?- Salary based on experience ($95,000–$120,000) + up to 10% annual bonus

- Oversee daily manufacturing and production operations, including powder mixing, blending, batching, and processing
- Lead, train, and develop production employees while maintaining a strong safety-focused culture
- Manage production schedules and priorities to meet customer demand and delivery requirements
- Ensure compliance with cGMP, food safety, quality, and regulatory standards
- Partner with Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Regulatory teams to support efficient operations
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, yield, productivity, and waste reduction
- Monitor equipment performance and coordinate preventive maintenance activities
- Ensure accurate production documentation, batch records, and production reporting
- Support hiring, employee performance management, and workforce development
- Help scale manufacturing processes, production capacity, and teams within a growing organization
- Maintain awareness of bulk powder handling, dust control, allergen management, and other applicable manufacturing requirements
- 5+ years of manufacturing leadership or operations management experience
- Experience leading production teams in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, food, dietary supplement, or other regulated manufacturing preferred
- Strong knowledge of cGMP, HACCP, FDA requirements, and quality systems
