Healthy Harvest Corps Member-Akron

Everyone wants to live in a healthy community where children, families and seniors can grow, work, prosper and lead productive lives. But for many of our friends and neighbors, food insecurity creates barriers that impact their physical, social, and emotional wellbeing. the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank has operated as a critical community asset committed to fighting food insecurity and helping families as they navigate difficult decisions related to hunger and other struggles that arise out of situational or generational poverty.

The Foodbank is committed to its vision of a thriving community free of hunger, but we can only realize that vision with the support of donors, advocates and volunteers who join us in our mission. The Foodbank is a 501(c)(3) organization with a mission to lead a collaborative network that empowers people to experience healthy and hunger-free lives. We distribute food to feed people and we advocate, engage, and convene our community in the fight to end hunger.
