DescriptionThe Donor Relations Coordinator supports the Humane Society of Summit County's fundraising efforts by coordinating annual fund activities, donor stewardship initiatives, and early-stage donor cultivation. This role serves as the primary point of contact with the organization's direct mail vendor and works closely with the Director of Development & Outreach to strengthen donor relationships and support fundraising initiatives.
Job Duties:- Serve as primary liaison to the organization's direct mail vendor, coordinating campaign timelines, segmentation, messaging, and production.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with a portfolio of entry-level and mid-level donors to increase retention and giving.
- Conduct donor outreach, including thank-you calls, emails, meetings, and stewardship activities.
- Identify potential major gift prospects and support cultivation strategies in partnership with the Director of Development & Outreach.
- Coordinate donor acknowledgment processes and ensure accurate gift processing and donor records in the CRM.
- Generate reports and analyze data to support fundraising strategy and track performance.
- Support planning and execution of donor events and engagement activities.
- Collaborate with the Individual Giving Coordinator to ensure timely donor stewardship and accurate gift processing.
- Collaborate with the Development and Marketing teams to support fundraising campaigns and communications.
- Assist with prospect research, donor pipeline tracking, and other development initiatives as needed.
Two or more years of nonprofit fundraising, donor relations, or related experience. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with excellent organizational and project management abilities. Experience working with databases or CRM systems, along with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Experience- Experience working with direct mail campaigns or vendors
- Experience coordinating donor portfolios
- Animal welfare or nonprofit experience
