Corporate Gift Officer

Summary:

Discovers, cultivates, and solicits corporate prospects for financial support of the hospital. In this capacity, the individual is responsible for developing and implementing a strategic fundraising plan for such constituencies including, but not limited to, local corporations and local markets of national and international corporations.

Responsibilities:

* Identifies and evaluates funding sources, with special emphasis on corporations who have major gift potential.

* Develops a "moves management" plan for each prospect.

* Establishes targets/goals and actively moves prospects along the developmental "pipeline."

* Work with the corporate contacts to create the fundraising/campaign program and assist in organizing and implementing.

* Solicits major gifts through campaigns, fundraisers and major gift projects.

* Develops relationships with corporations to identify executive level individual prospects for personal major gifts.

* Participates in strategic planning and corporate philanthropy. Initiatives.

* Participates in Hospital/Development functions.

* Involvement and representation on hospital wide committees.

* Other duties as required

Other information:

Technical Expertise

* Experience in fundraising Is required.

* Experience in program management is required.

* Travel and valid Ohio driver's license is required.

* Experience working with all levels within an organization is required.

* Experience in healthcare is preferred.

* Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required. Database management software is required;
Raiser's Edge software is preferred.

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field is required;
Master's degree is preferred.
