ResponsibilitiesProvides leadership and oversight for all nursing-related quality metrics, evidence-based practice initiatives, infection prevention programs, and emergency management functions across the health system. Responsible for developing, implementing, and sustaining comprehensive quality improvement strategies that drive organizational excellence in patient safety, clinical outcomes, and regulatory compliance. Creates data-driven change management priorities based on organizational, clinician, and patient outcomes in collaboration with nursing leadership, quality, infection prevention and risk management departments.
Directs the strategic planning, operational execution, and tactical implementation of nursing quality initiatives that align with the health system’s mission, vision, and strategic plan. Ensures compliance with nationally reported nursing quality indicators, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and evidence-based practice. This position oversees the RN Manager of Infection Prevention, RN Manager of Environment of Care (EOC) & Safety, and RN Manager of Nursing Professional Practice/Magnet – providing guidance, mentorship, and strategic direction to these leadership roles.
Serves as the primary nursing quality executive responsible for the development, implementation, and sustainment of infrastructural systems and processes that support clinical staff’s ability to effectively provide coordinated, evidence-based care. Chairs key quality committees, leads root cause analyses, and represents nursing quality interests at the executive leadership level. Requires expertise in quality improvement methodologies, infection prevention principles, emergency preparedness, and Magnet recognition standards.
QualificationsFormal
Education:
Master’s of Science in Nursing (MSN). Applicants with a Bachelor’s degree will be considered but are required to obtain MSN within three (3) years of employment. Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing or a school accepted for candidacy status from an accrediting body. Doctorate in Nursing Practice preferred. Current license to practice registered nursing in the State of Ohio.
Professional certification in a nursing specialty required.
Experience and Training: Seven (7) years in progressive nursing leadership experience in acute-care settings. Experience working in a Magnet organization preferred. Experience in nursing quality improvement, infection prevention or related quality functions preferred. Experience with databases and national registries.

Salary: $66.27/hr - $99.40/hr.
