Experienced RN – Neuroscience ICU

Join the Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital's Neuroscience ICU, where RNs provide critical care to patients recovering from strokes, neuro traumas, and surgeries. This role is ideal for compassionate caregivers dedicated to enhancing patient comfort and health.

• Location: Akron, OH
• Facility: Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital
• Schedule: Full-time, Day shift

• Provide direct nursing care to patients.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for a given patient population.
• Complete ongoing assessments and recognize changes in patient condition.
• Develop and update goals, involving patients and families in care plans.
• Coordinate the interdisciplinary plan of care and serve as a patient advocate.
• Administer treatments and medications, and document care provided.
• Participate in ongoing interdisciplinary evaluation of patient/family outcomes.
• Delegate tasks and serve as a resource person for the team.
• Review and document progress and discharge goals with patients and families.
• Communicate patient care information during shift report.

• Education:
• Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (ADN or BSN program) required
• Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Experience:
• One year of current ICU or acute care RN experience in a hospital setting required
• Licenses &

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within the first year of employment
• Satisfactory completion of CVVHD training and TNCC certification within one year of appointment
• TCAR certification required within 24 months of hire
