Progressive Care Unit (PCU) - Schedule:
Full‑time, Night shift (7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.)
- Provide direct nursing care to patients.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for a given patient population.
- Complete ongoing assessments and recognize changes in patient condition.
- Develop and update goals, involving patients and families in care plans.
- Coordinate the interdisciplinary plan of care and serve as a patient advocate.
- Administer treatments and medications, and document care provided.
- Participate in ongoing interdisciplinary evaluation of patient/family outcomes.
- Delegate tasks and serve as a resource person for the team.
- Communicate patient plan of care and current outcomes at shift report.
- Ensure compliance with JCAHO Core Measures related to nursing care.
- Education:
- Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (ADN or BSN program) required
- Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Experience:
- 1 year of current stepdown or critical care RN experience in a hospital setting required
- Licenses &
Certifications:- Current RN License in Ohio
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within the first year of employment
- Satisfactory completion of CVVHD training and TNCC certification within one year of appointment
- TCAR certification within 24 months of hire
