Registered Nurse – PACU

Akron, OH

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift | Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM (with possible extension if patient discharge is delayed)

• Provide post-anesthesia care and monitoring for outpatient surgical patients recovering from procedures including joint, hand, general surgery, urology, endoscopy, and orthopedic surgeries
• Assess and manage patient recovery progress, ensuring readiness for same-day discharge
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and respond to changes in patient condition in the PACU setting
• Accurately document patient care activities using Epic electronic health records
• Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams to coordinate safe and timely patient transitions

• Active Ohio RN License or compact state RN License (permanent Ohio license required at time of submission)
• Minimum of 18 months of permanent RN experience in PACU specialty
• Active ACLS and BLS certifications (no pending status accepted)
• Epic electronic health records charting experience
• No open license or background check cases

• PACU experience within an ambulatory surgery center (ASC) environment
• Familiarity with outpatient surgical workflows and same-day discharge protocols
• Experience across multiple surgical specialties including orthopedics, urology, and endoscopy

• No on-call requirements — enjoy a consistent Monday–Friday daytime schedule
• Work in a dynamic outpatient surgical environment with a diverse range of procedures and a collaborative care team
