About This Role

As an RN in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital, you will provide compassionate care to patients recovering from surgery and anesthesia. This role is ideal for dedicated nursing professionals looking to make a difference in patients' lives.

• Location: Akron, OH
• Facility: Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital
• Schedule: Full-time, Day shift

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for a given patient population.
• Complete ongoing assessments and recognize changes in patient condition.
• Develop and update goals, involving patients and families in care plans.
• Administer treatments/medications and document care.
• Participate in ongoing interdisciplinary evaluation of patient/family outcomes.
• Contribute to the improvement of care and participate in quality improvement processes.
• Delegate tasks/assignments and serve as a resource person.
• Communicate and document pertinent information regarding patient condition.
• Perform calmly during crises and develop comprehensive discharge planning.

• Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (ADN or BSN program)

• Critical care background preferred
• PACU/ICU experience preferred

• Current state of Ohio licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
