As an RN in the Surgical ICU and Medical ICU at Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital, you will provide comprehensive critical medical support to diverse patient populations.   Full-time, Night shift (7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.)

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for a given patient population.
• Complete ongoing assessments, recognize changes in patient condition, and respond appropriately.
• Develop and update goals, involving patients and families in care plans.
• Coordinate the interdisciplinary plan of care and serve as a patient advocate.
• Administer treatments and medications, and document care provided.
• Participate in ongoing interdisciplinary evaluation of patient/family outcomes.
• Delegate tasks/assignments and serve as a resource person.
• Review and document progress and discharge goals with patients and families.
• Communicate changes in patient condition and ensure compliance with nursing care standards.

• Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (ADN or BSN program)

• One year of current ICU or acute care RN experience in a hospital setting

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) upon hire
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) within one year of hire
• TCAR certification within 24 months of hire
