PRN RN – Neonatal ICU; NICU

About This Role

The PRN RN in the Neonatal ICU (NICU) at Cleveland Clinic Akron General provides exceptional nursing care to infants and their families, ensuring a supportive and educational environment. This role is ideal for experienced nurses who are passionate about neonatal care and are looking for flexible, per-diem opportunities.

• Pay: $43.00/hour
• Location: Akron, OH
• Facility: Cleveland Clinic Akron General
• Schedule: Per Diem, Night shift

• Provide direct nursing care to infants in the NICU.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patients’ conditions.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.

Education:

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN program) required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Experience:

• 2 years of recent related nursing experience required for external applicants.
• Internal applicants with less than 2 years’ experience may be considered with approval.

Licenses &

Certifications:

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within one year of employment.
