About This Role

The PRN RN in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital provides compassionate care to patients recovering from surgery and anesthesia. This role is ideal for nurses looking to make a difference in patient recovery while working variable shifts as needed.

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patients’ conditions.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
• Educate patients and their families.

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
• BSN preferred

• 2+ years recent related nursing experience for external applicants
• Internal applicants with less than 2 years experience may be considered with approval

• Current RN License in Ohio
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required upon hire or within one year
