Full-Time Clinical Faculty - (BSN Required)
Hondros College of Nursing is looking for a BSN prepared Nurse for a full-time Clinical Faculty role at our Akron Campus! Essential duties and responsibilities include instructing students off campus at our clinical sites and/or in a lab setting, promoting a positive learning environment, creating a high level of student engagement by planning the student clinical experience, supervising and orienting students to the clinical site, evaluating each student's achievement and progress, and participating as a member of the Faculty Organization and Campus Curriculum Committees.
Compensation, benefits, and schedule include full-time flexible off-site clinical-based scheduling which generally consists of 40 hours per week (generally no Sundays or Holiday scheduling!), competitive salary based on course types and schedule, and generous continuing education benefits, paid time off, employee stock purchase plan, and 401K plan.
Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Nursing, three or more years full-time work experience as a RN, active Ohio RN license that has never been encumbered, ability to provide official transcripts for each degree earned from an accredited institution, and current (or ability to obtain) American Heart Association compliant Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Applicants selected and receiving an offer of employment will be required to complete key credentialing requirements for clinical placements prior to being cleared for start. Full detailed information is provided at time of offer. A summary of requirements includes providing copies of official transcripts for all degrees earned, providing a copy of current American Heart Association BLS or ACLS CPR card, completion of a physical form (from within the last 12 months), and immunization documentation for Hepatitis B, MMR, TDAP/Tetanus, TB (2 step), Varicella, and FLU (October 1 – April 1 hires).
