A qualified CVOR RN is needed in Akron, Ohio. The role includes a day shift of 4 hours, 32 hours per week, with possible rotating weekend call.

• Deliver excellent quality care to patients and families through the nursing process and anticipate the needs of patients, families, physicians and other members of the cardiac clinical team.
• Develop advanced knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology related to cardiothoracic surgery, diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology studies, ablation, and pacemaker/defibrillator insertion.
• Provide pre‑procedure assessment for outpatients scheduled in the Cath Lab and serve in the scrubbing and circulating role in both the cardiac OR and Cath Lab.
• Share call duties equally with other department Nurse Clinicians.
• Assist in other clinical areas within the Heart Center, including research, database maintenance, teaching, program development and other administrative functions.
• Perform other duties as required.

• Proficiency with equipment and supplies used in cardiac invasive procedures.
• Experience working with all levels within an organization.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) or similar software.
• Epic EMR experience preferred.

• BSN required.
  MSN preferred.

• Registered Nurse licensure.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support provider required.
• Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support provider required.
• OR Nursing experience required.
• Two (2) years of pediatric cardiovascular nursing experience preferred.
• OH license required at time of submission.
