Multiple locations, various hours, emergent coverage for weekends when needed
Plans, organizes, implements and ensures each testing site provides the highest level of clinical diagnostic testing services. Maintains active communication among medical staff and peers. Utilizes the nursing process in this role. Coordinates and directs activity of assigned clinical staff. Coordinates daily functions with other clinical and clerical staff. Oversees daily staff assignments coordinating appropriate match of skill to patient need.
Assists with the planning and evaluation of orientation/educational development and competencies of all staff members. Functions as a role model, guide and source of information. Performs functions of a Registered Nurse in the clinical setting. Provides coverage for Manager of Department such as safety huddle and departmental meetings and vacation.
- Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Applicants with an Associate’s degree will be considered but are required to obtain BSN within three (3) years of employment
- Graduate of a program of professional nursing that is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN)
- Current license to practice registered nursing in the State of Ohio
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Minimum of two (2) years previous nursing experience in area of specialization
- Minimum one (1) year in leadership/supervision position preferred
- Demonstrates superior knowledge/expertise in their area of specialization
- Possess and demonstrates a high degree of technical knowledge and aptitude of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology and arrhythmia interpretation, physiologic monitoring in adult and geriatric population
- Obtains certification within one year in position/maintains national certification in area of expertise
- Obtains Lean Six Sigma within 2 years in position
- Near visual acuity for accurate reading of gauges, thermometers and monitors
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other hospital employees
- Ability to work independently and multitask within established procedures
- Ability to exercise professional judgment and decision making in response to individual cases
- Assumes accountability for demonstrating behaviors consistent with Summa service excellence standards
- Ability to work well within a team environment and assume a collegial relationship by: accepting and offering constructive feedback; supporting team goals; supporting and encouraging team members; collaborating with all health care team members to problem solve, consolidate work and reduce costs

- Working knowledge of personal computers and data‑based programs
- Able to function/work at all testing locations
- Supports practice of TTO based upon activity and census
- Provides extra coverage in times of short‑staffing, call‑offs, or emergencies
- Sedentary:
Exerts up to ten pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently
$37.40/hr – $56.11/hr
The salary range on this job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials. Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location are considered when determining the starting rate of pay.
