About This Role
As an RN in the Behavioral Health Unit at Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital, you will provide compassionate care to patients, supporting their recovery processes while collaborating with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals.
Highlights- Location: Akron, OH
- Facility: Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital
- Schedule: Full-time, Night shift
- Provide direct nursing care.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for a given patient population.
- Complete ongoing assessments, recognize changes in patient condition, and respond appropriately.
- Develop and update goals, involving patients and families in care plans.
- Administer treatments and medication.
- Participate in ongoing interdisciplinary evaluation of patient/family outcomes.
- Delegate tasks/assignments and serve as a resource person.
- Complete psychiatric core curriculum and Managing Disruptive Behavior Training within six months of hire.
- Triage psychiatric patients that present to the ED and complete medical screening examination forms.
- Assist with transporting patients and the assessment and treatment of psychiatric nursing issues in the ED.
- Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (ADN or BSN program) required
- Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- 5 years of nursing experience required if assigned to ED Triage primarily
- 3 years of inpatient psychiatric experience required if assigned to ED Triage primarily
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
