RN Specialist – Endoscopy Vary

About This Role

The RN Specialist in Endoscopy at Cleveland Clinic Akron General is responsible for managing nursing care for patients in the Endoscopy unit, under the supervision of the Endoscopy Manager. This role is ideal for a flexible and knowledgeable nurse who can cross-train in various operative areas.

• Pay: $35.50 - $55.60/hour
• Location: Akron, OH
• Facility: Cleveland Clinic Akron General
• Schedule: Part-time, Day shift (7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.)

• Prepare patients for the endoscopy procedure.
• Assess the physical and psychological status of the patient, including pre‑op vital signs.
• Report pre‑op documentation and testing findings to the physician when necessary.
• Ensure all necessary consents and charting components are available and filled out correctly.
• Support the physician with endoscopic procedures.
• Competently use equipment, document and label specimens accurately.
• Communicate relevant information to the anesthesia provider and physician.
• Ensure patients are stable and meet all requirements for safe discharge.
• Accurately complete post‑operative documentation.
• Identify unsafe practices and participate in seeking solutions.

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (ADN or BSN program) required.
• Experience: 2+ years of nursing experience required.
