About This Role

The PRN RN in the Rapid Observation Unit at Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital provides treatment and evaluation to patients while determining the need for hospital admission. This role is ideal for nurses who excel in delivering patient-centered care and enhancing patient experiences.

• Pay: $43.00/hour
• Location: Akron, OH
• Facility: Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital
• Department/Unit: Rapid Observation Unit
• Schedule: Per Diem, Variable shifts

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patients’ conditions.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.

• Education: Graduate from an accredited school of Professional Nursing (ADN or BSN program) required.
• Experience: External applicants: 2 years of recent related nursing experience required. Internal applicants: less than 2 years of experience considered with Chief Nursing Officer approval.

  Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) required. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
