The RN in the General Emergent Surgery and Trauma Unit at Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital provides direct nursing care to high acuity patients recovering from general surgeries. • Schedule:
  
  Full-time, Night shift (7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.)

• Provide direct nursing care to patients.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for a given patient population.
• Complete ongoing assessments and recognize changes in patient condition.
• Develop and update goals, involving patients and families in care plans.
• Coordinate the interdisciplinary plan of care and serve as a patient advocate.
• Administer treatments and medications, and document care provided.
• Participate in ongoing interdisciplinary evaluation of patient/family outcomes.
• Contribute to the improvement of care and participate in the quality improvement process.
• Delegate tasks/assignments and serve as a resource person.
• Pursue ongoing education and specialty certifications.

• Education:
  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN program) required.
  • Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
